Trips

Organized trips, ranging in duration, skill and difficulty level, are held throughout the year. Our philosophy is we are groups of "common adventurers". Rather than relying on the services of a guide who is the first aid person, the cook, the navigator, the weather forecaster, etc., all trip participants contribute their skills and are involved in decision making. The benefit of this active approach is an increasing skill level and better understanding and appreciation of the marine environment.

The following is a sample of the type of trips organized by SKABC members. The actual trip list varies each year and full details of current trips are available to SKABC members only. In addition, members frequently meet other paddlers through SKABC and arrange their own private trips (we run a Yahoo Group where members can leave messages regarding informal trips). SKABC is a great place to upgrade your kayaking skills and to connect with other paddlers.
